A Game of Thrones
We were a full complement of 6 players and were playing with most of the expansion items except for the the special order counters. The goal was to try the second expansion out. Well, we split up the races and went for it. James and I swore piece in the middle of the board while Charlie began his southern incursion into my territory. Tony, David, and Kris started a tripartite slug fest on the southern end of the board. I beat Charlie back a little and we can to an agreement. James got a little too big for his britches and broke our truce attempting to take over one of my key territories and win the game.....imagine that. He had spread himself a little too thin to make ends meet and could not pull it off. Needless to say he got pounded on the next turn and I was able to get the needed seven cities to win. It was a little anti-climactic as I thought I had only gotten six as Charlie was starting his turn, he said....now I get two points for this power. We forgot I had the same card in front of me and actually won a battle over a city at that point for the win. This is still a good game, just not my style and it will hit the trade pile.
