Basari
We only made it for two turns as some people showed up and we didn't
want them to wait. Travis was in the lead.....but, I would have
won I am sure 8). It is a fine game but I do prefer Eidle Stein
and Reich.

Il Principe
This one took us just a bit to get the hang of as everyone was new to
the game and it had been a year of so since I had played. There
are some really neat ideas coming together here and I think this
bidding, territory management, set collecting game really needs several
plays to see all the nuances. I think my rating may go up with some
more plays. Brent took the victory.

Krone & Schwert
This is territory control/ vote for the king game. The key is not
only gaining territory and building castles, cities and
cathedrals in this card driven system, but it is knowing when to change
the king and who to move it to. There is quite a swing in scores
as the king changes hands and to win this game, I think you are going
to need to be king a few times or for a while. This one seemed to
run a little longer than it should have but we were 6 players and most
new at the game. Brent proved to be the masterful king.

Scream Machine
To finish the night we decided to build some theme parks. Clearly I understood the customers needs the best with the win.

Since Travis was off the next day, the two of us decided on some two player games after others left.
Odin's Ravens
We raced over the various terrain with vigor. This was a pretty
run away game and not nearly as close as most I have played.
Travis took 8 points on the first race then, I took 9 points on
the second race. A quick sprint on the third race got me over the
needed 12 points for the win.
Lord of the Rings: The Duel
When we got this out, I pointed out the Travis that I had never won
this game. I was not to be proven wrong yet again. I
managed to get Gandalf just below the final track and three spaces
ahead going into the final duel. The only way Travis could beat
me was to win the final duel by being at least 5 points ahead......he
did it!
Pecking Order
One last quick game of birds in the jungle. We played only two of
the specified 4 rounds which is generally enough. My birds
revenged Gandalf's previous defeat.
