We were five this evening with David, Travis, Charlie, Kris and Ted.  Unfortunatly a major storm blew threw with hail and forced a tree onto James' house so he could not join us.  Of course David was heading to the insurance agent in the morning due to some major car damage.  We hope everyone is doing better now.

Coverup
A new two player game from Out of the Box.  The is a 3d four in a row game.  It adds some nice twists to the Pente style games and plays very fast.  Charlie proved to be a "deeper" thinker than me.

Mixup
Another new two player from Out of the Box.  This is a nice addition to the connect four style game.  One person does colors and the other shapes while you try to get 4 in a row dropping pieces  down chutes.  Well, I dropped out before Charlie.

Lie Detector
The is a new Mattel game from Brian Yu.  A two player clue type game.  It appears to me to be a two player deduction meld game in the line of Mystery Rummy.  I was OK....call it average and at least we can introduce the public at Toys R Us to some new ideas.

Teraforming
This was a game picked up at GenCon.  It is a 52 card deck with various land shapes on them where you try to build islands sort of like Entdecker light.  You have 4 actions on a turn and can draw, play or place a cube.  Travis took the win in this game that none of us really cared for.

Puerto Rico
Travis really wanted to try this one to see what the hype was.  The game was new for David and Travis.  Kris had only played once and wanted to give it another go as well.  I know why now as Kris took the victory.  He had been plotting patiently.  Actually as I recall the game was very close.

Attila
Kris has been asking to play this one for a few weeks.  Finally we had the right number and group desire.  There was a definite trend here.  If Kris asks for a game, he wants to win.  I was in the lead until the end when Kris was able to win the game by maxing out on the red track.  The game works well with 5, but there is so much that can happen between your turns that control seems very limited.  This one may work better with less players.

Tutankamen
We needed a quick filler before a couple of folks left.   Charlie stole the victory from me by putting in his chip right before me!!!!!!  All because someone stole a good from him......arrrggg.  Anyway, I always enjoy this quick filler.
