With my recent schedule for the summer, we had to move to a Saturday gaming session. It was an interesting day as people came and went throughout the day with gamers and family members. Here are some of the games I remember but, I probably forgot a few. Around throughout the day, Charlie, Kris, David, Travis, James, Doug, Emily.
Wings of War
This started as a three player game and added a fourth in a free for all. Although I inflicted some great damage early, it seems I flew into a cross fire barrage and was taken out and the first man down. We stopped at this point to try some other games.
Aqua Romano
A game of tile laying of aqueducts. Many have said it is Metro for gamers. Actually, since you are building the longest duct before having to end, it reminds me more of Tsuro on steroids because of the builder pieces. The scoring is unique too in that sometimes it pays to end a route early to insure a higher score position. Anyway, it is a fun little game with some nice ideas even though I am still more fond of Metro as a simpler, cleaner game.
Metro
Well, as we discussed Aqua Romano and the comparison to Metro, no one at the table but me had played Metro and it seemed like a logical choice for comparison.
Conquest of Pangea
This is the new game from Immortal eyes....a video review is up. Boy, this game can swing in points very quickly. It was a good time though even though everyone picked on me.....waa....waa.
Oltremare
We played the
Pirates Cove
One of Doug’s favorites. I am sure Emily turned out to be the most notorious pirate this time.
Scrutineyes
We play this one with the Kalidos rules. A quick, fun picture spotting game.
