A big welcome back to Todd, Ann and Bradley. Also, Michelle is back as she is now a permanent city resident. Again, we broke into two tables.
Table One
Cattle Baron
Dave brought along a Richard Berg prototype of scoring cattle and land in the old west. Although I got the rules and one turn, as people arrived I moved to another table as Tony took over for me. The game was abandoned about 1/2 way through after 2 hours and all felt it needed a bit of work and a lot of speeding up.
Midgard
This viking area majority, card passing game has been very popular with the group. Dave was the viking king.
Edel Stein and Reich
The groups comment I heard from afar was, don't play this with 5. It is a maximum 4 player game.
High Society - Michelle
Table Two
Aladdin's Dragons
Todd had missed playing this game so it was first to the table. Knowing how Todd likes the spell cards, Ted immediately jumped on them starting a heated competition. And, the cards were fought over the whole game. One of the highlights was when Ted got his rewards in the palace, he played a card to make everyone loose 7 gems. Doug and Bradley were frustrated and raised their shields to show they had no gems left after the drastic event. Ann laughed and raised her shield out of spite to show she had more gems than the bank! She is now deemed the Chicklet queen. Ted won the game, but had it gone another round the tide would have changed.
Rum and Pirates
Much arrrgggg and rum drinking going on. Everyone got into the spirit of the game. Ann set the record for scorpion collecting thanks to Doug's unique ability to roll a needed one........twice in a row! Todd eked the win in the tie breaker.
