Liar’s Dice

This game got played without me as I was in my “father assist with homework” mode. Apparently, Tony proved to be the best liar while I was teaching the solution to complex equations.

Wings of War

It was a massive 3 on 3 dogfight as Charlie, Kris and Ted as the Allies took on the evil Axis hoard of Nick, Tony, and James. The first casualties were the result of a major encounter of James and Charlie with hot lead flying. They managed to kill each other at the same time. Next to fall was Nick and it was just a matter of time until the Allies proved superior in the air.

Ursuppe

Next up was a 6 player version of this amebas in the primordial soup. I was doing fine with a mid game lead with some incredibly developed amebas when the sun got a little to hot and I had no money to help save some upgrades. That was the beginning of my downfall and Charlie was there to exploit that. Charlie took the lead for a bit until the end and would have won if one of his amebas could have just eaten on the last turn. His ameba starving and dying off let James take the victory.

Ticket to Ride Marklin

With Nick’s departure, it was time for the 5 player version of this latest Days of Wonder franchise. James and Charlie had some problems completing their tickets leaving Kris, Tony and Ted to fight it out for the win. Moving passengers is a whole new level of this game and Tony mastered that with a great 20+ point run. In the end, it turned out I was the only player to take any extra tickets and although Tony and Kris were within 2 points of each other, the bonus for the most tickets gave me the win. This was a close game.
