We were four this evening which gave us time to remove some four player games from Charlie and Kris’ want lists.  In play, Charlie, James, Kris and Ted.

Tahuntinsuyu

This game (a pseudo rail crayon game and building game) of building roads and cities in the land of the Incas is really a lot of fun.  There is great player interaction with all of the road building and card play.  Although all of us had fun and were thoroughly engaged, the game did run almost 3 hours which surprised me.  It should be shorter than this.  Charlie proved to be the best ancient civil engineer.

Stephenson’s Rocket

Mr. Stephenson took off again building train track and taking commodities from all around England.  This game always develops differently; which is why I like it I guess.  In our game, there was a rush on commodities very early.  As a result, they were almost all gone when only two rail lines had started.  In the end, the vetos started flying as James tried to merge his purple dominated line into Kris’s yellow line.  This merger was huge and solidified the win for James and second place for Kris.

Unfortunately, this is all we really had time for on the evening, but, it was a great time.
