It was a last minute get together arranged by Dave. We managed to
drum up four players of Dave, Charlie, Kris and Ted to play a long game
of Britannia.
We set up Carolus Magnus waiting for Kris to arrive in a couple of
hours when lunch was ready. We took a break for hot dogs and then
decided for a game of Clue DVD with my daughter.
Clue DVD
Mr. Body has had an item stolen from the mansion when he got back from
his trip to Monte Carlo. Our job was to find out what it was,
when it was taken, who took it, and what room it was taken from.
It is a cute little idea with the DVD adding some variety and
some additional clues to the game. It does run a bit long.
I managed to be the superior sleuth.
Britannia
With Kris' arrival we set up Britannia, reviewed the rules and were
off. Charlie started the Roman invasion and was over 100 points
in no time. The Belgae revolt was mild at best while the Welch
hung on for dear life. Thus, ran the game of Britannia. I
managed to eke out the win as the Picts kept scoring every turn with
little opposition and William got all but two available points.
Final scores:
Kris 179
Charlie 189
Dave 234
Ted 256
